The Venue
Just 25 miles southwest of Charleston, SC, Seabrook Island Club is a resort-style oasis along the Atlantic coast. With endless amenities including multiple tennis courts, equestrian trails, and 36 holes of championship golf on two different courses, Seabrook Island Golf Club is a paradise for the entire family. And with pristine beaches just steps away, Seabrook Island is a bucket list worthy destination.
The Project Goal
The Seabrook Island Club team contacted Outdoor Lighting Perspectives to help with a deteriorating existing lighting system that needed upgrades to the overall design and functionality of the property. The focus of the project was properly illuminating the walkways along the entire property, staircases, and landscape. Our overall goal was to create a cohesive custom outdoor lighting design that would make the property shine like it did during the day while increasing the overall safety and walkability of the grounds at night.
The Challenge
Due to the sheer size of the property, we had to be strategic with our wiring extensions along the pathways and outdoor staircases. We also needed to provide a good lighting fixture solution for the main fountain on the property. Having completed numerous resort and club outdoor lighting projects before, our team was up for the challenge.
The Solution
The Seabrook Island Club project was completed within two phases. The Outdoor Lighting Perspectives team first completed the walkways then moved onto the event space and clubhouse. Along the paths, we used our most-loved path light fixtures and installed our most subtle fixtures below each bench to give just the right amount of glow.
For the trees along the property, we utilized our best-selling uplights and for the fountain, we used fixtures safe for underwater usage along the inside and base of the fountain. Lastly for the recreation areas, we added touches of moon lighting along the walkways, uplights along the building façade and pergola area.
Overall, the project was complete in just under a week and the Seabrook Island Club system is on our ongoing maintenance plan, Shine365. This ensures the system is in good hands and will have the proper maintenance and repairs for years to come.
Since our lighting installations, guests from across the world have come to Seabrook Island Club and are able to enjoy the property even longer than they did before.
