Advanced Programming/Special Notes

  • During normal operation, ensure timer is in the RUN mode & the SELECTOR switch is set to the 1-5 position.
  • In RUN mode, the lights can be manually turned “on” & “off” by pressing ON & OFF rocker switch labeled 1-5.
  • The timer must be plugged in in order for it to send a signal to the transformer, which in turn, activates the lights.
  • The 9V battery allows the timer to be unplugged and moved without losing programmed data. (Should be changed when battery Sentinel Light appears in bottom right corner of clock.)
  • If the unit displays “18:88”, refer to “To Clear a Previous On or Off Time” above & follow the instructions.
  • Some systems have multiple transformers where each transformer controls a separate lighting zone. The timer is equipped with 4 identical ON & OFF rocker switches, which are located side by side.
  • Each transformer is then connected to its own ON & OFF rocker switch. This allows one to program each lighting zone differently.
  • If the unit does not respond (i.e. – the lights don’t go on & off when programmed) try moving your timer to another location in the house and manually turning the transformer(s) on with the grey switches you programmed before. There may be some interference blocking the signal.
  • You may also want to make sure the G.F.I. (ground fault outlet) is in working order where the transformer is plugged into. G.F.I. May need to be reset if it gets any moisture in it.
