LED is fast becoming a household name, but it’s a relatively recent innovation and many people have questions about the way LED looks and performs. Our two short videos will provide answers to some of the questions we hear most often. Part 1 of 2.

LED lighting delivers the long life and energy efficiency we all want today, but because it's a relatively recent innovation in outdoor lighting systems many people have questions about the way LED looks and performs. Here are some answers to the questions we hear most often. The color of LED lighting has made huge strides over the past three to four years the days that the cold and sterol blue or very white light are gone. Quality LED lamps now identically match the color of standard incandescent bulbs in fact LEDs now offer a variety of color temperatures to match virtually any existing light source as well as creating the warm soft white glow you're used to seeing. LED bulbs and fixtures offer incredible flexibility in both brightness levels and feed spreads allowing your lighting consultant to develop a lighting plan specific to your needs without compromising design principles. A quality LED component that is properly installed and maintained should last 40,000 to 50,000 hours. If the lighting system is on for eight hours a day it will take almost 14 years before the LED bulb has dimmed to 70% and should be replaced. Yes, the heat that equality LED dissipates into the fixture body usually creates enough temperature to melt snow in ice a warm fixture is a good thing because it means excess heat is being pulled away so it won't damage electronic components even better the lamps lens stays cool.
