Every so often, I like to dedicate a blog to something cool and interesting that is happening in our community. This is one of those blogs.
This Saturday, Outdoor Lighting Perspectives of Augusta and Lake Oconee will be supporting the 1st Annual CSRA Hog Toss. This fun local event is being put on by our friends and partners Pete Alewine Pool & Spa and Fireside Outdoor Kitchens & Grills.
Why Should You Come? Food, Games, & Prizes! The Hog Toss will feature a Big Green Egg Cookoff competition and a Cornhole (bean-bag toss) tournament. Best off all, both events feature cash prizes for the winners! You can get more info or sign up for either event at the 1st Annual CSRA Hog Toss website.
Needless to say, I am pretty psyched for this weekend. My oldest son, Marc, will be representing OLP in the cookoff with his “Triple Threat Chili”. My youngest son, Jonathan, has been brushing up on his bean bag skills. I feel good about our chances, but you can be the judge…literally. For a small fee ($5) you can taste all of the food from the cookoff and vote for your favorite recipe while watching all of the nail-biting, adrenaline-pumping, bean-bag action. Or you can challenge us…if you dare.
Where and When Should You Go? The Hog Toss will be held this Saturday from 10am-4 pm at Pete Alewine’s Evans location (4470 Washington Rd, Evans, GA 30809).
I am personally very excited to be participating in this event. We have done a lot of lighting jobs for Pete over the years and we are excited to be giving him some support in return. I think you should be excited for this event as well – its a chance to eat some great food, play some fun games, and register to win some cash along the way. Can you think of a better way to kick off your summer? Me neither. So, come on out.
If you have questions about outdoor lighting, or if you would like to see what our lights can do for your home this summer, give us a call at (706) 690-4326 in Augusta or (706) 484-9711 in Lake Oconee.
Hope to see you all at the Hog Toss,
