Increase the Safety of Your Home This Holiday Season

Hello all, I hope this blog finds you well.

Our lights help your family feel more safe and secure at night

I’ve been thinking about a few things that I would like to talk about this week – family, Halloween, and home security.

Family – We are anxiously awaiting the birth of our second grandchild, and our first grandson, Logan, who should be here any day now. Karen and I love our kids and grandkids, and there isn’t anything that we wouldn’t do for them.

Halloween – Young or old, Halloween is such a fun time of year – dressing up, going to a party, getting and giving loads of candy…whats not to like? But, for some, Halloween can be a slightly scary time of year as well. Maybe you get freaked out by masks, ghouls, ghosts, or zombies…maybe the hair on the back of your neck stands up a little when you walk out to your car in the dark. Fear of the unknown, or concern over what might be lurking in the darkness, is a powerful feeling, especially when it involves the safety and security of your family.

Home Security – The picture above captures this feeling so well doesn’t it? For most folks, there isn’t anything they wouldn’t do to make sure that their family feels safe and secure at home.

So, what does all this have to do with this blog? Its simple: daylight savings time will soon be over. As we ‘fall back’ an hour, our days will become even shorter and evening will come much sooner. You have probably already noticed it getting darker as you come home from work. But, next time you pull up to your dark house take a moment to consider – how does this feel? Also consider – wouldn’t it be nice to come home to a house or yard that makes you feel inspired, welcomed, and safe?

Pathway with lights

Increase you family’s safety by lighting up your walkways and driveways

Professional outdoor landscape and architectural lighting not only makes your home look more beautiful and inviting, it also adds a blanket of security to your home and surroundings. Homes and businesses with strategically placed outdoor lighting often deter potential criminals. Outdoor lighting can make it easier for you and your neighbors to see if someone tries to enter your home, but it can also help you feel more secure when you and your family come home after dark.

Outdoor Lighting Perspectives of Augusta and Lake Oconee can create a custom lighting design for your home that will increase the beauty, safety and security of your property. Whether you are interested in traditional landscape lighting, or our special holiday lighting options, we know you’ll breathe a little easier, knowing that your home is well lit and your family is safer and secure at night as a result. In fact, we think you’ll agree every time you pull in the driveway.
