HOW DOES THE CONSULTATION PROCESS WORK?
We will meet with you to walk through your property and discuss your needs/wants as well as our suggestions. After this meeting our lighting designer will put together a custom design and proposal for your project. Once you review the proposal we will answer any questions you have and make adjustments as needed. After the proposal is agreed upon we will schedule installation by our certified lighting technicians.
ONCE WE SAY “YES”, HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL MY LIGHTS ARE INSTALLED?
Our average lead time is one to two weeks.
HOW LONG DOES THE INSTALLATION TAKE?
A typical installation will be completed in one day. Larger installations can take multiple days.
WHAT IS THE AVERAGE COST?
Every project is custom to fit the homeowner's needs with the appropriate fixtures and design to achieve a beautiful finished product. Due to these variables it is hard to provide an 'average' cost.
WHAT IS YOUR WARRANTY?
We use cast brass fixtures and professional grade transformers that are covered by a lifetime warranty. Our LED bulbs and components are warrantied for five years. We also have an annual maintenance plan available for continued service and maintenance.

HOW ARE THE LIGHTS POWERED?
All of our lights are hardwired to a professional grade low voltage transformer that will typically mount on the exterior of your home at the location of a 120v outlet.
DO YOU BURY THE WIRES?
Yes, all wires are buried underground. Our Outdoor Lighting Perspectives certified lighting technicians will hand trench the entire project with little disruption to your grass and landscaping.
DO YOU USE LED?
Yes, all lights Outdoor Lighting Perspectives installs will be high quality, long lasting LEDs from top manufacturers.
WHAT COLOR ARE THE LIGHTS?
Typical installations will use ‘Warm White’ 2700K LEDs with cooler white options available if you prefer.
CAN I CHANGE THE COLOR OF MY LIGHTS?
Yes! Purple Friday? Orange for the O’s? College team? Holidays? A favorite cause? We’ve got you covered with several full color changing upgrade options.
WHAT KINDS OF FIXTURES DO YOU USE?
We only use the best cast brass fixtures built to withstand the elements year round.
CAN I INTEGRATE WITH MY SMART HOME OR CONTROL MY LIGHTS WITH MY SMART PHONE?
Yes! We have smart home and phone control options available.
HOW DO THE LIGHTS TURN ON AND OFF?
We have a few favorite options for timing control. Our most popular one is a digital astronomic timer that will automatically adjust daily for sunset/sunrise times as well as Daylight Savings. We also have app control option upgrades. Whether you want them from dusk to dawn, or dusk to your preferred off time, we have the right option for you.

HOW MANY OUTDOOR LIGHTING INSTALLATIONS HAVE YOU DONE?
Outdoor Lighting Perspectives has completed over 200,000 installations nationwide with over 1,500 in the Baltimore area.
WHAT ARE YOUR PAYMENT OPTIONS?
We accept cash, check, or credit card and typically ask for a 50% deposit at time of signed contract with balance due after project completion AND your 100% satisfaction. Please ask about payment plan options.
I HAVE AN IRRIGATION SYSTEM. CAN I STILL GET LANDSCAPE LIGHTING?
Yes. Our trained and certified Outdoor Lighting Perspectives technicians know to look for your irrigation system and will carefully work around it.
CAN I ADD TO MY OUTDOOR LIGHTING SYSTEM LATER?
Yes. Our low-voltage systems are expandable at any time in the future.
DO YOU WORK ON LANDSCAPE LIGHTING SYSTEMS THAT YOU DIDN’T INSTALL?
Yes. We are a full service outdoor lighting company that can service or upgrade any low voltage lighting system. We also offer a free Lighting Assessment Score (LAS) which includes an evaluation of your current system with options for repair, upgrade, and improvement.
DO I HAVE TO BE HOME DURING THE INSTALLATION?
No. As long as we have permission to be on your property and the outlet we will be using is on the exterior there is no need to be home. Typically our team will be working outside, and will not need to go inside your home.
