The Ponte Vedra Beach home of a local physician was over-due for an outdoor lighting over-haul and expansion. With a home and landscape renovation underway, it was the perfect time to replace the aging 120-volt outdoor lighting system with LED. The newly designed lighting would not only be more energy-efficient and require less maintenance but would also enhance the beauty of the recent property renovations.
Custom-Designed Ponte Vedra Beach Outdoor Lighting
Our LED outdoor lighting design was customized to meet the homeowner’s needs for visibility and curb appeal at the front of the home. It also included adding outdoor living lighting to the backyard areas for better nighttime enjoyment. With a gorgeous canvas to inspire us, our design team took full advantage and pulled off a one-of-a-kind design with superior installation for a lifetime of lovely outdoor lighting.
Driveway Lighting Lets You Know You’ve Arrived on The Boulevard
This beachfront home features a winding driveway right on The Boulevard. The driveway is adorned with fantastic landscape features, including Palm trees, Ligustrum trees, river rock, retaining walls, and meticulous flowers and shrubbery. We spotlighted the Ligustrum trees at the entry gate to illuminate both the trees and the privacy wall, making nighttime arrivals a safe and secure process.
We lined the curving driveway with path lighting to guide the way to the house. Behind the path lights along the driveway, we illuminated the Palm trees for additional accent lighting, vertical intrigue, and tropical beauty.
As guests arrive at the top of the driveway, they are greeted by a circular drive, and a stunning spotlighted Sylvester Palm as the centerpiece.
Palm trees are a popular focal point for landscape lighting. The many types provide unique lighting opportunities to highlight varying texture on the bark. From tall to short and everywhere in between, it is our mission to draw your eye up to the gorgeous fronds at the top that are a crucial element to feeling the beachfront vibe.
Don’t forget the Ligustrum. Palm trees don’t get to have all the fun. Ligustrum trees are plentiful around this Ponte Vedra Beach property. Their twisting branches provide a unique opportunity for silhouetting as we shine light up through and behind them.
Tree lighting is a nice way to illuminate the perimeter of many properties subtly.
Architectural Charm Like This Deserves to Shine at Night
While the magic of this property starts right on The Boulevard, the unique architecture of the home itself is a demanding presence. With a series of wall wash lights and floodlights, the home’s gorgeous towering entryway is the focal point at night. With a combination of path lighting and spotlights in the surrounding landscape on both sides of the grand staircase, the home exudes all preconceived notions of a “Florida retreat.”
Ponte Vedra Beach is All About Outdoor Living
This beach property is for outdoor living. The backyard features a large pool, covered outdoor living room, and dining area, as well as an outdoor kitchen. The area is lined with privacy walls and towering palm trees, which provide a perfect focal point for subtle accent lighting to ramp up the nighttime functionality. When it comes to illuminating outdoor living spaces, it is vital not to over-do it. The idea is to make the space universally functional for both entertaining and serene nights at-home.
In addition to adding palm tree lighting along the side of the pool, we also installed path lighting around both sides of the home. Adding landscape lighting around the side of the home creates safe navigation from the front of the property to the back, at night. It also eliminates potential dark corners to enhance security.
