Outdoor Lighting Perspectives of Kansas City in the Community
John and Rhonda Bruce have owned Outdoor Lighting Perspectives of Kansas City for 25 years. Living in and serving the Kansas City community, they are dedicated to giving back however they can. They believe that outdoor lighting can do more than add beauty to properties – it can create safe, welcoming spaces.
Supporting Erin’s House in Kansas City
In 2024, Outdoor Lighting Perspectives of Kansas City partnered with the Do Good for Erin foundation and Healing House, donating lighting to one of their projects in the community. Do Good for Erin was founded in 2019 in memory of Erin Langhofer, a compassionate social worker who was tragically killed. The organization is guided by one goal: a passion for ending violence, and compassion for those it affects. Do Good for Erin raises funds and collects donations in support of organizations that align with that goal. They have completed several projects in the community, one of which is Erin’s House – a transitional living space for women and children who are in recovery and are survivors of domestic violence.
Donating Outdoor Lighting to Support a Safer, More Welcoming Home
The goal of Erin’s House is to provide a safe space for women and children to live who are impacted by domestic violence. Outdoor Lighting Perspectives of Kansas City donated lighting for the project to create a welcoming, well-lit place for them to call home. Outdoor Lighting Perspectives was one of about 30 companies who came together in the Kansas City area to transform this property into a safe home.
Giving Back to the Kansas City Community
After 25 years of servicing Kansas City, giving back to the community is an important part of who we are. The Erin’s House project gave our team an opportunity to use what we do every day in a different way, helping create a more welcoming, well-lit environment for people who need it.
