LANDSCAPE LIGHTING WAS JUST THE BEGINNING
A landscape lighting client of Outdoor Lighting Perspectives of Clearwater & Tampa Bay proves that you just can’t have too much of a good thing when it comes to energy efficient outdoor illumination.
Enjoying the architectural lighting, landscape illumination and tree lighting design we originally designed and installed for the waterside residence in Lutz, Florida, necessity once again proved to be the mother of invention – or re-invention, as it were.
NEXT UP WAS GARAGE LIGHTING – AND THE DRIVEWAY, TOO
As the family improved their residence, it made perfect sense to call on Outdoor Lighting Perspectives to transform the new additions into a work of illumination art after twilight sets in.
To complement the unique architectural design of the home, a garage was added for greater convenience and functionality. While meeting with our landscape lighting client, the conversation turned to the super long driveway that graced their home exterior. As we drew up design plans for this next phase of outdoor lighting, the homeowners said, “What about the driveway, folks? Shouldn’t we light that up, too? And what about the bench and mailbox at the end of the driveway? What do you think?”
“Awesome suggestion,” we responded. “We’ll get right on it.”
During the installation of the additional outdoor lighting, the family liked the nighttime effects so much, they started to think about adding even more lights.
PATH LIGHTING AND ARCHITECTUAL HIGHLIGHTING
To enhance the illumination design plan even more, a significant amount of path lighting was added around the vast property. The stone columns at the entry area of their lanai were also highlighted with up lighting creating a stunning entrance to their swimming pool area.
DOCK LIGHTING, TREE LIGHTING, FESTIVAL LIGHTING – SOMETIMES MORE IS BETTER
As the installation continued, much to our pleasant surprise, our client was further stimulated with thoughts of additional nighttime lighting beautification.
Since the stone columns turned out to be just stunning, similar effects were created in trees accenting the property. In fact, a beneficiary was Gracie – the family schnauzer – who could now easily navigate to her favorite visiting spots in the grassy area below.
Stepping back to survey the totality of the additional lighting, we turned our attention towards the water coastline in the back of their property. Additional dock lighting was added – again for functionality as well as beautification – on every other section of the dock platform.
And last but not least, festival lighting party string lights were added to accent the dock approach, creating a gorgeous effect of warm glimmer accents each evening.
