Our Professional Christmas Light Installation Adds the Finishing Festive Touch to This Classic Southern Home

There is nothing quite like a Southern Christmas in Wilmington! Sweet potato pie, collard greens, sunny skies, and palm trees! We unplug and gather around the table with friends and family for a feast and gift-giving. Enjoying the occasions are all that much better with the festive feeling established by classic holiday décor in and outside of our homes.

This Wilmington homeowner and beloved landscape lighting client let us handle her exterior décor and Christmas lights. Our work allowed her to focus on her interior décor and preparing for several holiday gatherings between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

How to Decorate a Home with Southern Christmas Style

Step One: Wrap the Trees with Lights

Palm trees, Southern Live Oaks, you name it, we wrap it! Mini LED Christmas lights are perfect for adding points of festivity around your property. For this homeowner, we used tree wrapping to illuminate the tall tree at the end of the driveway to help visitors find her. It also added much-needed festivity from the road to the home.

Step Two: Line the Roof

Roofline lights are a must-have for a classic Christmas lighting design. In this case, we only lined the main floor roofline, but in the coming years, we will expand the design to all of the rooflines.

Step Three: Add Some Greenery

Columns and railings are perfect for green garland with LED lights built right in. During the day they will enjoy the green festivity that mimics a Christmas tree, while at night the lights will shine! Add a green wreath to the front door and you’ve got yourself a lovely holiday display this classically southern home.

If you’d like to let the professionals handle your holiday lighting, we are a perfect choice. Lighting is all we do, all year long, giving us the expertise and the best lights. And if you’re worried about the cost, you can tackle it in phases. This Wilmington Christmas lighting installation is phase one of a multi-year proposal to give the homeowner her dream holiday lighting display!
