#1 Sidewalk lighting, rooflines, landscaping lighting, and flower-bed outlines

Exterior Lighting

Holiday roofline lighting is imperative to producing the best results. Professional-grade C9 lights will ensure your lighting will be brighter and guarantee you won’t have dull and dingy light. For lower maintenance, it is important to make sure the light bulbs are all individual lights so that if one bulb goes out, the entire strand is not wasted, just in need of a replacement bulb. For lower maintenance, it is best to use individual light bulbs so you can replace each as necessary, instead of the entire strand being wasted. This lighting is best on the roofline, driveway, garden bed outline, and sidewalks.

#2 Lighting trees, large shrub and bush lighting, rail and balcony lighting

Tree Lighting

Trees and rails can be wrapped in lighting neatly with mini lights at a consistent rate around for a clean finish. Our recommendation is to wrap with about 3 inches between each strand for maximum reach. For the tree’s canopy, you can either use a branch wrapping or spiral wrapping technique. Spiral wrapping loosely coils around the canopy leaving feet between each wrap whereas branch wrapping is tightly wrapped around each branch at the same 3-inch gap as the trunk.

Shrub Lighting

For large shrubbery and bushes, net lights are the best option for ease and uniformity. These are easy to use and require little effort making them best for landscaping of these proportions. If net lighting is not an option, raspberry lights are an alternative as they are bigger lights and do not have to be wrapped as meticulously as mini lights.

#3 Lit garland, lit wreaths, and specialty decorations

Specialty Lighting

Professional-grade garlands are best when they are better quality, lit, and thick to not appear cheap. Garland can be mounted around doorways, arches, spiral wrapped around railings and columns, and draped on fencing and balconies. However, it is important to account for the surface you are adhering to since mounts will not attach to stucco without ripping a hole so it is best for these to be used on stone and siding.

City Hall Wreath

When choosing wreaths, it is important to know what size and proportion make the most sense for the surroundings. If mounted on the exterior of the building, a 3 or 4-foot wreath would be best depending on the size. For buildings 2 stories or more, a 4-foot wreath is a better fit for these sizes whereas 3-foot wreaths are best for gates and single-story smaller buildings.

#4 Specialty Decorations

Special Decoration Lighting

24-inch and 16-inch lit hanging balls are great for lower-hanging trees to add a specialty to your holiday lighting display. As well as angels, snowflake decorations, twinkle lights, champagne colored-lights, blow-ups, and Christmas trees are all great decor options to accentuate the ambiance you wish to accomplish.
