Twenty-five years ago, Outdoor Lighting Perspectives of Nashville had the amazing opportunity to install an outdoor lighting system at the country club at Fairvue Plantation in Gallatin, TN. It was at one time a private residence, but it has since become a country club. The opportunity to refresh the illumination on this former plantation with gorgeous HOA outdoor lighting was a delightful return for us.

The Home Owners Association asked us to return a quarter of a century later to fully update the outdoor lighting of this former historical mansion to the latest LED technology. The designers and installers at Outdoor Lighting Perspectives of Nashville took the existing outdated halogen fixtures and revamped them to low wattage LED’s. Additionally, we augmented the system and added several new fixtures that keep in the correct style of this 1832 era antebellum plantation home.
The venue sits at the shore of Lake Hickory and has many visitors for amenities that include events, dining, weddings, business meetings and golf. The outdoor lighting had to show off the building’s historical architecture to impress. Since many people walk and drive around the grounds surrounding the clubhouse, we had to make sure these areas were well lit and easy to traverse in no matter what hour.
The Fairvue Plantation clubhouse can now be elegantly seen at a distance for guests to easily arrive to and walk around safely. All the architectural elements such as arched windows, columns and the incredible double-story porches are a jaw dropping standout at night with targeted spotlighting.
Strategic up lighting shows off the texture of the brickwork, chimneys and rooflines with incredible stateliness the structure deserves. Down lighting alternately illuminates large swaths of the lawn and landscaping so the grounds can be truly appreciated.
